How do I choose a psychotherapist? Psychotherapy
is a co-created process. Each therapist-patient relationship is unique. I believe we are looking for a good fit.
It is important in our initial meeting (and in subsequent ones) that you feel that I have understood your concerns and that
I have responded in a way that feels respectful. It is natural to be nervous when we meet, however this feeling should
ease if we have made a good connection.

How many psychotherapy sessions will I need? I
don't know exactly. If you have particular contraints around time, location or financial resources, I will do my
best to work within these limits in a way that respects our respective needs and interests. The number of sessions varies
greatly according to individual needs, constraints and preferences. The number of sessions will be mutually agreed upon;
negotiated and renegotiated as needed.

What can I expect in a typical psychotherapy session? You
can expect that I will listen to your concerns attentively, that I will respond respectfully with an intention to understand
from your point of view. I may ask questions or share thoughts of my own. I will attend to the feelings you have
about your experiences. I do not have a structured format or map about how our process will unfold. The process
is always different, as each therapist-patient relationship is different. We will talk about our experience of therapeutic
process as it develops.
